Name of Route - NS Atlanta and Macon Route

Version and Release Date - Version 3, 20Jan2007 (previous versions superceded and removed)

Description - Atlanta to Macon, with extensions to Gordon and Dallas GA. Leaving Dallas, traveling southbound, the route passes Austell Intermodal Yard, and then continues to Atlanta Inman Yard. Afterward, it makes a large loop. The western leg covers industrial metro Atlanta including East Point, Hapeville (the Ford factory), Forest Park, Lake City, Morrow, Jonesboro, Griffin, and finally Macon, GA. An extension from Macon takes the route westward to Gordon, GA. The eastern leg covers more rural areas of Georgia, including the cities of Joliet, Jackson, McDonough, and Stockbridge. Also covers parts of the old Central of Georgia Line near Fort Gillem.

Installation Method - Single download file. Extract contents and copy to Routes\NS Atlanta and Macon Route. Ensure all default routes are unstored and run (double-click) InstallMe.bat.

Era or Genre - Strictly speaking 2001-2006. The Austell Intermodal Yard was dedicated in October, 2001, and the Hapeville Ford plant was closed in 2006. However, other than the car spawners, rural portions of the route could probably be back-dated to the 60's to 70's.
