Default How to move items in a Dash 9 cab

Just wondering how to "cut and paste" different objects, such as the phone and the light switch. Trying to make a AC4400 CW cab view. Thanks for the help.

First thing you need is a program to get the base image out of the ace file. Martin Wright's TGATool2 is best for this (get it from http://fly.to/mwgfx and don't forget to tell Martin how good it is :-) ).

Then you need a paint program to do the cutting and pasting and patching up. At it's simplest you could use the default MS Paint but more sophisticated paint programs like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop are better - better effects, more tools, etc.

You then need to create a new ace file from your rework. If you are using TGATool2 just reload the edited graphic file into it and create the new ace file. The tool is well documented.

The alternative is to create the ace file using the Microsoft utilities directly - for this you need to create a tga file rather than a bitmap. You also have to define the transparent regions. For what you want I recommend using Martin's program.
