Thread: Beta Testers wanted

    Default Beta Testers wanted

Anyone here who is also involved with MSTS may well have come across TSTF.

This is a terra-forming tool which allows you to replicate actual landscapes in the sim.

I have nearly completed work on a Trainz interface for the toolset (using displacement maps).

I need the help of people experienced with creating terrains for Trainz to evaluate this.

Once Auran have released details of the file formats used by terrains, I hope to incorporate a better interface, so this is hopefully just the beginning.

Please post here if you would like to help.

Count me in I have used both MSTS and Trainz. I under stand the Demex process under MSTS, but I was having trouble with displacement maps under Tainx, Primarily selecting the baseboard to cover, and only being able to select one baseboard at a time.

    Great Stuff !

As soon as I've completed this I'll e-mail you the exe.

In the meantime if you don't have TSTF yet, can you download it and familiarise yourself with it - 90% of what you need for Trainz is already there.

I'll be in touch soon :)

I would like to beta test DEMEX. I downloaded the demo model and think it's great. Some of the routes I'm currently working on are in Texas (passenger and freight routes).

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hiya

Im currently building part of the network of the North west of England. Im currently 35 miles into the project and have been experimenting with other ways of creating realistic terrainin trainz, including displacement maps and straight forward contouring from maps. My current work can be seen at http://www.fbuk.btinternet.co.uk/netrack/ (go to the network page, then the information section for the manchester north west project) It would be a pleasure to beta test your program, if that were at all possible.

    Thanks

apologies for replying to my own post, but btinternet seems to be getting picky over filenames in links. This link should work:

    Thanks again

    Slip,

I'd be glad to have your help. This beta release should be ready in about 10 days or so.
