    Default RE: Bve FAQ

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but it has me stumped, and I'm guessing there's as stupid mistake in what I did but I can't find it or haven't noticed

Below is a picture of how the wall turns out to look like...and here's the code:

    CreateMeshBuilder,
    AddVertex,0,0,25,
    Addvertex,0,4,25,
    AddVertex,0,4,-5,
    AddVertex,0,0,-5,
    Addface2,0,1,2,3,

    GenerateNormals,
    Loadtexture,EglintonWall.bmp,
    Settexturecoordinates,0,0,1,
    Settexturecoordinates,1,0,0,
    Settexturecoordinates,2,1,0,
    Settexturecoordinates,3,1,1,

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

You should put it in C:\Program Files\BVE\Trains folder.

Hello: Your EglintonWall.bmp, perhaps, is not of the right proportions.
Your statement has the proportions:25x4; make certain that your BMP has the same proportions. The BMP is maybe 128x20,or 256x40; your statement should reflect that by stating length of 25 and height of 3.906. 128:20=25:x; x=(20x25):128 Use Paint Stretch/Skew to change the height slightly. In this case the statement should read:

    AddVertex,0,0,25,
    Addvertex,0,3.906,25,
    AddVertex,0,3.906,-5,
    AddVertex,0,0,-5,
    Addface2,0,1,2,3,

I have had the same problem, and changing proportions did the trick.

www.bve-routes.com is, apparently, no more available.
Presently, the detailed list of BVE routes, as well as a complete collection of rolling stock links, can be found on:
    www.bve.cz
