    If you want a work around if you can not find any software: Play the file in what ever player works. At the same time run sound recorder in record mode with a bit enough file to fit the sound lengh. Save the resulting file as wave. A real rube goldberg fix, but it does work.

    Good, I downloaded and played it any way. I have heard this as the music for several old silent movie bits with the Elevated or sometimes trolley running. I like it a lot.

    Default Almost Ready To Release The NYE39 For BVE4

    The NYE39 has many features including fully operating gauges & levers,
    working marker/head lamps that switch with forward/reverse,
    animated exhaust/safety valve/cab doors/tank hatch/bell/whistle,
    water/coal load that falls with running & rises at tank/fuel stops,
    timetable/control menu/prototype photo display on pressing [F4],
    & of course now the NYE Galop theme music when [NumPad-] is pressed!!!
    Two minor details yet to complete: animating the firedoor & blowdown.

    Default Converting MID Or MOV Files To WAV Files

    I have a sound file in either MID (MIDI) or MOV (Movie) formats,
    that I'd like to convert to WAV (Windows Audio) format.
    The sound is the 1879 'New York Elevated R.R. Galop' by J.Joseph;
    the intent is to use this music as a theme for the soon to be released
    BVE4 NYE39 1878 Baldwin 0-4-4T, prototype & screen shots below.
    I'm unable to locate any freeware that will do the needed format conversion;
    payware packages range in price starting at $50+.
    If anyone has software or knows of freeware that will do this
    conversion, I will gladly document/credit your contribution with the
    published train. Thanks,

    I tried the Windows Sound Recorder method
    but all I get is a recording with no sound;
    my sound drivers may be screwed up.
    I've attached a ZIP file with both the MOV & MID versions
    if you care to try.
    The MOV version is preferred due to the more realistic piano tone.
    Thanks,
