Default Running BVE 2.6 and 4, is it possible?

    Hi

Is it possible to run BVE 2.6 and 4 on the same PC?

    Hi Jordy,

Yes it is, but keep them completely separate. Download to DIFFERENT folders. :)

The default installation path is different anyway. So there's no need to worry! :)

    BVE2: Installs to C:\Program Files\BVE
    BVE4: Installs to C:\Program Files\mackoy\BVE4

I install everything to C:\Program Files\BVE and just navigate there when i want to use a route. It saves me having duplicate files such as a 323 and 321 in both folders etc.

I have kept everything separate, because there seem to be compatibility differences between BVE2 and BVE4 routes. Also, I've modified my favourite BVE 2 trains to display the BVE 4 timetable, so I keep them separate from non-modded BVE 2 trains.

But that causes more disc space to be used.

Out of 35 gigabytes available on this pc, I have 27 gigabytes left (76%)... surely more than enough?

I've got 60 GB left out of 80 GB so I think I don't need to worry about space for a very long time! (so there!!!) ;-)
