    Default Guaianazes to Mogi (version 2) is released!

    Hi Folks,

    Just after one year working hard on it, Guaianazes to Mogi das Cruzes (version 2) is released and available for download.

    Main Features:
    -Re-written in .CSV format, this route is now playable in BVE 2 and BVE 4;
    -According to the previous version (Guaianazes to Calmon Viana, 2004),
    more 14.5 Km of track and 4 stations were added;
    -Accurated catenary masts and gantries, as well as the typical
    brazilian suburban landscape;

    To grab all the files, go to my downloads page at:
    http://joaocg.topcities.com

    Hope you like it. Enjoy! (Screenie below)

    I've been waiting for this, John. It looks very very nice, but I can't download it due to your ISP bandwidth being exceeded. I'll try it again tomorrow.

    I'm glad to see that RW to CSV conversion has been possible also for João Carlos... :)

    The best thing with João's BVE works is the they are not boring at all! This route is 30Km long and the landscape is always different... and only about 300 different objects are used!

    Grounds changed every 75-100-125 meters and freeobject wise put in, I think, are his secrets to learn... ;-)

    Although the complex and detailed landscape this route runs quite smooth on my system, under BVE 4.1 at full screen 1024x768 (20-28 fps).

    Also under BVE 2.6 the route seems to be smoother then the previous RW version.

    My best congratulations!

    P.s.: In the route file downloaded yesterday there is only a missing comma before the .dike statement in the line without progressive number, following that one at 19000:

    .railstart 10;11.000;0.000;6here.dike 10;-1;5,.wall 10;-1;1,

    ... but obviously this error is not spotted from BVE 2.6, neither from the Track viewer.

    Dear Luigi,

    My thanks for your kind comments (extensive to Call2 and Smile2evan),
    you are a gentleman, as always.
    Thanks for your remark about km 19000, where a comma was ommited
    between the commands.
    Although this type of error does not interfere in BVE 2, it gives
    you that known error message window in BVE 4. You confirm and apparently the route seems to run normally in BVE 4, but that .Dike statement in Km 19000 is not being shown properly.

    I've just corrected the error today (comma was added) so,
    for those who intend to download the entire route from now on
    and in the future, the new route file is dated 22/04/2005 18:34h. Problem solved.

    For those who have already downloaded the entire route yesterday
    and have BVE 4 installed, I recommend the re-downloading and the substitution of the route file only. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Yours,

    I'm downloading just now! By the way, I have a distant relative in Sao Paulo (Coutinho) and I like to think to meet him by your route...

    Alifana Railway: Km 41+245, single track with long melted 50UNI rails on Vagneaux-type sleepers, Diesel traction, electric traction at 3kV= on the way. 8 stations and 4 stops. Trains: Aln663, Aln668, Aln773/880 (ETR Alfa2 arriving).

    At first, gongratulation to your route!

    I like to drive this route.

    I have made an experience with the rail:

    With photorealistic rails and switches.

    I think, this will will push up this route in the realistic. If you like, i can send the files to you, or i can make them online on my site, if you will allow this.

    Martin,

    Please, send the files to me. I was really looking for a better
    textures for the rails. You can make them on line, you have my
    permission to do that.

    My thanks,

    Many thanks for the permission!

    You can download the files from my site http://BVE-Train.de under Objekte .

    With this route file, you have no errors with the original file, because all new object files have a new name and a new folder. The Route Folder is JC5.

    For the performance I have converted the bitmaps to 256 colors. if any budy needs the full bitmaps, please send me a mail.
