    Default F40 In The Making

Amtrak Fans Made You Look! Sorry that was kinda mean.

Just a few Screen shots that I would like to share with you folks.

Still in the very early stages of development as you could see.

Please note the textures that you see are rough for texture mapping purposes and will be fine tuned in the future.

I am still on the look out for F40 Detail Shots especially roof shots as well as the fuel tank and air res area. I am also on the look out for any info that is F40 Related.

This Model is planned to be released as freeware for those of you who were wondering. As far as an Amtrak F40 it's too early for me to commit. But Will Consider it...

Remember that VIA and Amtrak F40s are quite different in many areas.

Looks good, but be careful how you use that polygon smoothing. The side of the nose in image #2 and the rear of the side in image #3 both have some unrealistic shading on them because of how you applied smoothing. I suggest you take a closer look at which polygons are being smoothed together.

Nice start! I see you are also paying a bit of attention to the skin, which, IMHO is frequently overlooked.

Yeah; gotta love those red x's. I mean, they are so realistic, the x in the box and the way that the corners are so perfect. Mmm, mmm!

In other ways, I can't see jack.
