    Default Textures In Route Editor

Ive been trying to figure how you place texture in route editor? Im trying to get this gravel that the original builder placed in the middle of the tracks and run it all down the track but I dont know where I find the texture to place it. Or even place certain grass textures where I want them ect. Ive looked but havent been able to find anything to help. Any input would be great!

    Thanks

    That looks like a transfer.

Select the little green pyramid in the middle of an existing transfer, right click it to bring up the file name of the .ace file. Select transfers in your object placement window, find the matching .ace file, place it like a scenery object. When placed, the transfer is just 1 square metre in size, so you'll have to right click it again and adjust length and width in the proper boxes. Rotate the transfer into position.

An important tipp: Make sure you have as little overlap with neighbouring transfers as possible. Where ever two transfers overlap, you will get massive flickering in the sim (reason for the flickering is that two textures are trying to occupy the same spot).

    James,

You might want to investigate this method of applying ballast. I feel that the end result is far more realistic.
    Just my two cents.
