Default World of Subways (New Trainsim)

Hi al, I just found this new game World of Subways. It's made by TML studio's who also made the Berliner Subway and Linie 51 for MSTS. The schreens that are given are already looking very good

They are making the PATH subway from NY in their first version.

Here is the link for more information:

Seeing what an excellent job they did with the MSTS add-ons, I look forward to this.

Nice find, thanks for the link.

If you go to TMLís site youíll see it mentioned that this is not an add-on for MSTS but a completely new sim that uses its own graphics engine.

It looks similar to the Half-Life 2 render engine. I hope they post some screenshots with lighting effects and shadows turned on. Note the sunlight in the game does not match the sunlight on the skyline in the background.

...in cab screenshots are SPECTACULAR, I love the blur efect on nearest scene in front of the train. Also diference between day and night cab. I'm looking forward to incab shots in tunnels. But WoS looks very promising.

You might have already seen these screens but they do give an idea of what the lighting effects look like in the tunnels.

As far as the distant scenery goes, it looks like they are photo view blocks and do not seem to be effected by the lighting conditions in the sim.

The tube images look as though the lighting is baked onto the textures (to help fps rates). There are not enough shadows from objects that I can tell. But this will all be blurred when moving through it and most of it won't be seen from the windows anyway.
