    Default Demex help.

Hello, About a year ago, I read a tutorial about downloading Mapmart.com files and exporting them into Demex and eventually your route, could anyone direct me back to this page?

Why not use data that Demex is already set up for?

Thanks! That worked much better without the trenches Mapmart had!

Be advised that using the NED 1/3 Arc Seamless data will require A LOT of memory (RAM). You simply cannot work with as much terrain as you did with the older 10m or especially the 30m SDTS DEMs. I have 1 Gb of RAM and DEMEX chokes easily on DEM areas it worked with ease using 10m and 30m. However, the quality of the DEMS do seem to be visibly better with the NED data.

Good point Andre. I run 2 GB of RAM so I didn't even remember the days of 500 MB or 1 GB.
