    Default gmax installation problem

    Hi,
I honestly have no idea where this should be posted or who to talk to, so I picked here for a starting point:

I'm trying to install the Gmax program for the first time, and every time I try, I get: "not a valid Win32 application". I downloaded "gmax12.exe". I'm honestly clueless as to what I am to do.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Aaron (GCRailways)

    Try downloading the file again.

There is an updated tutorial for Gmax at http://www.elvastower.com/tuts/gmax01/index.html

If you're a member there, there's also a forum for Gmax questions.

    Thanks.

Just wondering, what is the classification (or closest classification) of the tutorial diesel switcher?

We've always referred to it as 'Volker's Small Diesel Switcher'. So, I guess that would make it a VSDS 100.

It's pretty similar to a Plymouth 65ton Flexomotive, but I didn't realize that soon enough to have the tutorial changed to the Plymouth.
