Activity Editor question

I tried to load the activity editor and got the msg: Error reading train data base file" and then I flipped through 4 files it said it could not read.... program paused and then the wonderful "encountered and error" screen came up and ended activity editor. I moved the four files in question to a new folder I called "Potential Problem Files" and then re-started activity editor. Two of the files I moved came up again as not being able to be read. I don't see either in the trains\trainset file? What am I doing wrong?

Those items are probably part of a consist file that the AE is reading. The AE is making sure all items in the consist files are present in the TRAINSET folder and apparently 4 items have issues. That's the only thing I can think of.

Try looking here, they recently added an "error message" section with all kinds of good information on cures, including this message!

I took your suggfestion and ran Route-Riter and found and corrected the consist problem. Now when I try to load Acitivity Editor all I get is the "encountered a problem send a message screen." To many things for MSTS to look at?

Did you try setting your desktop resolution to 16 bit colors instead of 32 bit?

You still have problems with a wag or eng file. Take out ones you have installed since the last time it worked and then add a few back at a time until you get the crash. Keep narrowing it down unitl you hit on it.
