How to get editor(lost shortcut)?

<strike>I have re-installed Windows once and I lost the shortcut for my editor. (something like start - all programs- entertainment - microsoft games - msts - editor)

I think it's something to do with the target(properties - target)? Does anyone know what to do ?</strike>

You need this line in the Target window of Properties:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe" -runeditor

If you have XP, Try clicking on START,then ALL PROGRAMS, then MICROSOFT GAMES, then TRAIN SIM then EDITOR & TOOLS and then create a shortcut.

Lets try spelling it out a bit more concisely a, b, c...

a - Create a shortcut to train.exe

b - In the properties for the shortcut, set the Target to:
"C:\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\train.exe" -toolset
Your path to where train.exe might vary but the key to accessing the editors is the '-toolset' option.

c - Drag/drop the shortcut where you want, it will launch MSTS in edit mode when opened.

You're safer using train.exe rather than launcher.exe especially it you have more than one version of MSTS installed. Launcher uses the version of train.exe the Registry is pointing at but train.exe uses the version the shortcut points at.
