Default How well would this run MSTS?

I'm considering getting a Laptop, Inspirin wiht a 800MHZ processor(equal to my current desktop), 512MB RAM(My desktop has 382), and 8MB of Video Memory(Desktop has none, Video Chipset). How well would that run Train-sim to what I'm running now with content such as TrainsArtistian's coaches, 3DTrains Surfliner Stock, Amtrak Superliners, etc. As as it stands, a Superliner train longer than 4 cars will drop me to 1fps, currently I run between 4-7 FPS, and if there's almost NO scenery, I have the cab hidden, 12FPS.

Might as well save your money and get a better laptop. In my opinion, it sounds like it might not cut it for MSTS.

    Seriously?

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MSTS?

Multimedia PC with a Pentium II 266 MHz equivalent or higher
processor with 4 MB 3D video hardware accelleration of better.

Microsoft Windows 95, Window 98, Mindows Millennium Edition or
Windows 2000 operation system. Does not support Windows NT.

32 MB of RAM for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME; 64 MB for
    Windows 2000.

500 MB of available hard disk space for a minimum install; 1.8 GB for
    a full install.

    DirectX 7.0a API or later.

DirectX 7.0a or later compatible 4MB video card capable of 800x600
    resolution in 32K colors.

DirectX 7.0a or later compatible sound card with speakers or
    headphones for audio.

    Quad speed CD-ROM drive.

Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.

Super VGA, 16 bit color monitor or better, supporting 800x600
    resolution.

Remember, these are the MINIMUM requirements. Many people will not
find operation of the sim satisfactory unless run on a substantially
    more powerful system.

Of course, the more you have... I first bought MSTS and installed it on a 400mhz Celeron machine with a whopping 256mhz of Ram and a 40 gig hard drive!

It's a rather old game, you know...
