    Read this; http://www.trainsim.com/howto/install/

What he means by putting them in consist is where you make a train consist of a locomotive and rolling stock together in one trainset. You can use the consist editor or conbuilder to make your consist or trainset.

    Default Create a consist

    >>"How do you make a consist what is a consist?"<<

You make a consist with the with the Activity Editor or ConBuilder. A consist is an engine and cars coupled together or a single engine by itself.

A forum search on 'consist' turns up 500 hits. Do you know how to use the search function?

Here is one of the hits:

Just some RW perspective.....a consist on the road I ran on usually referred to the locomotives when we used the term. "Train" or "Train Makeup" usually referred to the rollingstock portion of the entire consist when discussing the location of rollingstock in the train.

Run start -> programs -> microsoft games -> train simulator -> train simulator editor and tools.

You can add an icon to your desktop to make it easier to get to the tools by adding a shortcut with this command:

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\launcher.exe" -runeditor

Once you get to editors and tools, select "activity editor" from the menu.

Before doing any of this read one of the tutorials on how to use the activity editor. Like all of the MSTS tools it is tricky .
