Default What Would Your "Dream" Train Simulation Game Have?

I don't think I found a thread like this one before. But I'd like to share my ideas for what my "Dream" train simulation game (for the PC) would be.

    Gameplay and Features:
*Story modes for all the routes with cutscenes, missions, characters and progression
*Railroad careers like steam raiser, fireman, conductor, driver, yard master, and others
*An option that sets how realistic you want derailments to be (least to most realistic)
*Human/character interaction and animated people who can help you out
    *Multiplayer-online modes
*The most realistic train physics ever
    *No glitches
    *On foot action
*A very flexable, user-friendly, and addictive route builder/editor
*A very flexable, user-friendly, and addictive mission builder/editor
*Working fusible plugs on steam locomotives
*Dynamic weather and realistic weather for all regions
    *Accumulating snow
*Burnt-out traction motors on diesels if they are over-reved
*Switching switchtracks with a click of the mouse (like in Rail Simulator)
*Passenger loading and unloading inside and out
*All cabviews match all locomotives and will not be an individual "World"
    *Actual freight loading and unloading
    *Radio communication
*All controls operable in every locomotive
*All locomotives and other railroad vehicles drivable
*Switching cabs on all locomotives in a consist (like in Rail Simulator)
*Puffing smoke and syncronized chuffing on steam locomotives
    *Coupler stress
    *Slack Action
*An alerter system on modern American diesels and electrics
*An AWS systerm on British diesels
*Flaming fires on steam locomotives with burning red-hot coal
*A free-roam mode with whatever trains you want (once you unlock them)
*Passenger and freight trains on EVERY route
    *Doppler effect
    *Refueling
*Repair locomotives at engine sheds, roundhouses, and shops if they are in need of repair
*A huge amount of cool views like in Rail Simulator
*Realistic automobile, aircraft, and watercraft AI
*SOLID scenery objects and non-rail vehicles
*Steam coming out of all parts on a steam locomotive when they're supposed to have steam come out
    *Windows XP minimum

MSTS, without the bugs, better physics, and without British Trains.

A control that separates the headlight command from the ditchlight command for one... Also one that allows easy, simple route building...

A easy but realistic all in one 3-d modeling & texturing package that allows for all animations & imports directly into the simulator without having to jump through 3 or 4 hoops to get everything to work correctly.

    Schematic maps for every route.
    Realistic real-time sunrises and sunsets.
    Both Windows and Mac versions.
Basic keyboard commands identical with MSTS.
    RailDriver compatibility.
    Random mission generator.
A good selection of train types; heavy rail, light rail, freight, passenger, modern, historical right out of the box, with plenty of room for 3rd party expansion.

Well, much as I like US trains, if you are going to pick on us Brits, I can do without the US stuff. :-)

I would like to see those too.

This game needs more individualism. To become 1st person game. You get off your loco in real time and get on another one in the same station. Walking around the yard on foot. Speaking with the station master to get your oders. Maybe overseeing a repair -to see how a loco is disassembled in parts, taking off the huge engine etc.

When driving to be possible to interact with other objects -fallen trees on the tracks, collisions with automobiles that won't cause derailments or end of the activity but just would damage your train.

Very nice combination would be interaction with other speciallised transport. Like in a harbour - getting on a ferry and sailing off to the other shore. Even getting on a transportation plane and flying

Disagreed. As a midwesterner like yourself, I guess you don't appreciate what the UK has given you. But for me, as a New Englander, I appreciate what the UK has given me.

Anyway, let's get back to business. I would also like to have a button on the keyboard that could record gameplay footage. And a button that takes pictures of whatever is on the screen.
