Default Alternate Cabviews for Turbo Train?

My son and I love running Bill Alder's Turbo Trains. But the default cabview is unfinished. Anyone have any recommendations for a good alternate cabview to alias for the Turbos?

And anyone else notice the griddy windscreen on the Amtrak Turbo? Unfinished or ???

It's prototypical, if that's what you're asking. Some sort of protective grill. I don't know the story behind why it was used but perhaps somebody else here does.

The grill is clearly visible in some of the pictures on this page:

I had not seen those particular photos of the Amtrak Turbo. Thanks very much, Rob, for the link.

And I did some research and discovered what may be the tragic story about why the "ghetto bars" were installed over the windshields. One report says that a passenger was killed while riding the Amtrak Turbo when some reckless person threw something at the train from an overpass. Supposedly this happened in the Boston area. The windshield grids were installed to protect the passengers and train crew! What a sad story, but probably crazy enough to be true.

I hope to soon get a copy of TurboTrain: A Journey by Jason Shron, to learn more about one of my favorite trains.

So, can anyone suggest any alternate cabs that might work well with the MSTS Turbo Trains?

I'm bumping this thread to report that the MSTS Petit Arbre Line High Turbo Train ( https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/tslib....ight&fid=19229 ) features a nearly fully functional cab view.

And it's a great looking Turbo, too!

There have been a couple discussions about the "ghetto grilles" on Amtrak's northeast US equipment (and probably elsewhere) in the forums in the last couple of months. This is one that I was involved in:

Whether or not the particular story told above was true, I don't know. I do know that junk was and still is thrown at trains on a regular basis.

How about the ICE 401 Cabview? Although the height may need to be raised to 8, if you know how to edit the .cvf files.
