a little trip on GNHiline:









By the way, here are some modifications I give to all my articulated steamers. Maybe you'd like to try them.
First, I let the animation rate of the two engine parts differ by 1 or 2. You won't notice the difference watching the engine, but the two driver groups aren't in the same position all the time.
For the second change BIN patch is necessary. I add a cabview to the second part of the engine, too. At the beginning of the trip I switch to the rear cab. (train brakes on, engine brakes off. In order not to forget the engine brake when I switch cabs I change the startup position of the engine brake to notch 0.) From the rear cab I get a much more realistic headout view. Instead of looking into the boiler in sharp curves I can watch the front driver group swing to the sides.

Interesting idea. I set up my articulated models with the drivers quartered on each side. Are you saying that you like the front and rear engines to go in and out of phase, rather than stay 1/4 driver offset?
