Question Sibnals, switches and switch stands...Oh my. Cont.

O please someone try to help me! I have succesfully planted dwarf signals every where. The problems start when I try to plant a tall or short, American or European sisgnal. I have tried every combination of track rules and signal, but nothing works. What the park is going on?

    Thanks,

Signal placement varies by track layout, since I do not know what the layout is, I cannot help you.

    Unhappy Tried layouts.

If by layouts, you mean track configuration, I can't think what I haven't tried. Diverging, converging, passing, signaling in both directions and a few more I'm sure. Help...let me know specifically what you need to know.

    Thanks,

Well, you need a layout, could be even a strait track with one junction (switch). You need this before placing signals, and then you need the correct signals before you have it working.

    This illustrates what I mean,

    1. The far right track:

A strait piece of track, the signal it can use is a Tall 1H 0T. It can use other signals like the UK _Asp Ctrl sig or UK _Asp Auto Sig also.

    2. The middle and left track:

These are exactly the same, just different signal types. These have to use a different signal type you can find in the Left hand middle fly out. The signals have to be different with different layouts. (Not right/left direction) You can get an idea of what the signals are for from:

Tall - the signal is tall in height.

2H - the signal has two heads.

2T - the signal has two (numbered) links.

Braved and beat them on my own,

If these shots are from the world editor, you must exit the game and restart to initialize the signal table. Can not tell where links were placed from these shots. They may have been incorrect. Position of links is critical. There are tutorials on this site.

What signal did you use and are you sure that the junction is connected correctly?

Don't use the signals starting with BNSF as they are missing files, and all signals will show all 3/2/4 aspects when in the world editor.
