    Default Signalling Demo Route (v2)

    Hiya,

Thought I would start a new topic about this subject in order to keep it clear of the usual comments.

There is a strong request for correct understanding of how to signal routes in RailWorks. Therefore a demonstration route is in order. Please feel free to add junction layouts and suggestions to this topic for inclusion, but please refrain from discussing them until the demo route is available and can be examined.

This topic and resultant route are about signalling. Discussion and examination of AI and Dispatcher operation can come later. Please do not make AI related requests just yet.

    Regards

    Sniper297:
my thinking on this is a demo route with simple junctions - 20 mile single track mainline, one yard at each end and one in the middle, possibly coming off a wye (British "triangle") with a passing siding (British "passing loop") about halfway between the middle yard and each of the end yards. Maybe a dozen switches total not counting yard tracks, signaled however works for two way AI traffic along with whatever track properties and destination markers are needed.
