Train Update error can't not create output file C:\Program Files\ Microsoft Games\ Tr

i get a error file come up when i try to install the trainupdate so i can use msts bin it says this


can't not create output file C:\Program Files\ Microsoft Games\ Train Simulator\ launcher.exe

A couple guesses...


could the existing launcher.exe be set as read only?

could MSTS be installed in a different location from where the installer is looking?


I do notice the path you're showing in your message has extra spaces following most of the backslashes which, if accurate, could very well be the problem.

To start with download and install this MSTSBin Master as per it's README:

MSTSBin having been installed then Desktop Shortcuts like these below must be used.

What Operating System are you using?

Is it a 32 bit version or a 64 bit version?

Do you have Microsoft Train Simulator installed in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games" Folder?

DId you try running it "As Administrator"?
