Post My new train project, a American steam locomotive, 2,6,2 Prairie

I finally got Canvas Pro and now I'm building a 2,6,2 Prairie for RW, the American Prairie.

Once finished the engine will be freeware.

Still got a long way to go so far, here's my progress so far.

I'm not painting it yet, I'll paint it later.

Here's what I've did in the last hour.

Does anyone know how to make a rounded steam engine roof?

And, how do you cut out the shape of the windows and the back door, into the cab?

    I'm using 3D Canvas Pro

I figured out what I needed, the Cab Engineer, but how do you cut out the windows and the doors?

Here's another screenshot, what it looks now.

It will defiantly be an interesting steam locomotive.

Does anyone know how you go about cutting out the windows into their correct shape so I can get on with this.

And how come sometimes when you paint a part on 3D Canvas Pro you can see through it, would it look like that in the game, I hope not.

    Sincerely jpetersjr

P.S, if you know how to make windows and doors on 3D Canvas Pro, I really need to know, so I can get closer to finishing it.

Just finished building the firebox and put the seats into place.

Got the windows in, changed the texture to glass texture, but how do you tell if you could actually see through it.

Here's a picture of the cab how it looks right now.

How do you make gauges and pressure knobs, as well as real style controls, and intercab pipes. If you know how I could make pressure gauges and speed gauge, as well as water gauges I really could use to know how.

The engine will come with a full 3D Cab, probably as close of quality to how payware should look, but however, it will be freeware.

Unfortunately, it will probably only have a top speed of about 70 or 80 MPH, since trains weren't as fast back then then they are today. This engine would have came out in the early 1900's.

    Sincerely jpetersjr,

I hope you like it, if you do I could use all the support I could get, since this is my first engine. Yes, this is the first one I ever started building, other then a practice engine from when I had the freeware version.

I have 3D Canvas Pro now, this engine is being built with Canvas Pro.

Here's my progress so far, the engine is looking real good.

P.S, I still wouldn't mind it if someone told me how you make gauges, controls and pressure knobs in 3D Canvas Pro, I need it because still haven't figured out how to make them working gauges, controls, or pressure knobs for on the game, with something on the gauges.
