Default I found a fix to the Failed To Initialize Activity Manager error.

I had it a few seconds ago and I really didn't want to reinstall it so I tried a fix.

    1. Delete the train.exe.

    2. (Optional) Remove MSTS bin.

    3. Run the official MSTS patch to get a Train.exe.

    4. (Optional) Reinstall MSTS Bin.

It is caused (most likely) by a broken Train.exe.

Have you contacted Yuri in order that he can (test it) and post on the Steam4Me site?

If you are running under Win7 or Vista, were the correct permissions ever setup for the original install of MSTS?

I've only had that error twice in 10 years of MSTS and have never been able to reproduce the error (I usually am able to break things so that I can screenshot the repair process). Both times it happened to me on a default installation of MSTS.

Parker, did you by any chance keep the faulty train.exe? If you have it, please zip it and send it to me.
Was it the same size as the "proper" one?
Can you replace it in your MSTS installation and reproduce the problem?

As a veterinarian by profession, I take a scientific approach and try to apply Koch's postulates to MSTS errors, hence my questions.

    Yuri,

Can you get the CRC of the train.exe please?
    What version of BIN?

    Cheers

    Default This is really werid.

I put the "broken" train.exe back and it works as normal.
I need to do some more tests.

I am on XP SP3 with Bin 1.8.

I found the sudo-cause again. If you remove BIN but still have a BIN EXE it crashes.

    I checked 3 times.

Still have not been able to replicate the exact error yet.
