    Thumbs up German news

For those of you who don't receive it currently, German Railroads sent out a newsletter earlier this evening with three major announcements.

    1. The first high-speed payware addon - the ICE 1 - is due for release on their website http://shop.german-railroads.eu/default.php this Wednesday, beating RS.com's Acela as the first one. It is a little unfortunate that this (and the freeware ICE 3 and TGV Sud-Est models) have come along before any cab signalling or European high-speed routes. Oddly enough, it will have an appropriate home on the Northeast Corridor as one train spent two months in revenue service there back in the 1990's before Acela came along.

    2. Discount sale on all current GR products for RW this Wednesday at their website. The GR addons have been fairly criticised by many as too expensive, so this will be a good chance to get them at more reasonable prices.

    3. Updates released for all current GR products for RW. They appear to be mostly a bunch of badly-needed sound updates. If you bought stuff from them directly you can just re-download the installer, Steam customers will get them at some later date.

It's just a pity that it seems they won't fix the issue with the default Class 143 that affects all RailWorks 2 users.

Nope, they want of course to update the core content. The update is ready, but RSC will implemet this in the next core update.

Is there any rumor that we haven't heard before?
