@Hack. The diner is a few hundred yards behind the "Camera" right?

Here's some rather poor pictures of the Selkirk Sub (I'll put up better ones as the route progresses) but will give you an idea at what the area looks like in the real world.

Here is the power off of the produce train looking west towards the Route 7 overpass and CP-FG in the distance -

Back side of the Railex facility with CP-SH to the right and the Carmen Cutoff split in the distance -

Here's an out bound produce train taken from the warehouse looking west towards the CSXT yard office at South Schenectady -

The next few were taken from the Old State road overpass, here's a west bound where track 1&2 start to come together again at Fullers -

Looking west from the overpass towards County Line Road crossing and the approach signals for CP-SH -

I have been working in MSTS too long. I can recognize every shape and texture to reproduce those pictures in the sim. LOL!

But James that way we can take the hard work that Marc has done to follow the prototype as close as possible and then make it look un-prototypical again, lol.

i think OTTO likes changing things, it gives the old brain something to do in life, especially putting turn back loops in

Oops! Ten "lashes" for me, I'm sorry. I'm going to "delete" all my "off topic" post to help "clean up" your thread.

Now, back "on topic", those pics looks great!

Good job Marc.. Amsterdam and most parts of western NY is my stomping ground.. I have fanned from Selkirk-west and know many good places for photography.. My home was in CT and whenever I get in a mood to railfan, NY is the way to go.. I fan as far towards to Cleveland via Buffalo, Rochester, Cuse and Utica, then on to CP169, Hoffmann's.

What era exactly are you modelling? Since with CSX, theres been a few changes, as the whole Selkirk Branch has new signals. Gone was the old NYC targets. However, the mainline from CP(QC)169 to CP(QC)437 has all the NYC signals.. CSXT is aggressively replacing the C&O ones in Ohio right now, then as its done, they are to move towards NY State.

Get some pics while you all can! Plus, I would be more than happy to hope that they can extend to Buffalo...
