Default A Project out of this World

Hi, I have had trainz for years and i have been making trains for some time. I originally had this engine and the first one both running but now, when ever i put the engines on the track in surveyor without hitting the play button they appear derailed when attached to cars, when not attached they are seem fine but when i play they have the red explanation mark above them. If anyone knows how to help me fix this mess please let me know. I have been trying to get the engines working again for about a week and ahalf but i dont know whats wrong. here is a picture. Chance, Sorry to say I can't help with your issues. But I am surprised anyone besides me has seen or remembers Galaxy Railways. I loved that show from the first episode! I used to stay up late and watch it on the Dish Network on Colours TV. This was about 07 maybe? Show released in 03. I remember someone doing the units for MSTS but nothing ever came of the project if memory serves me correctly? I particularly like the Big boy as it was rebuilt for the second season which I saw only photos on Google. I even designed a massive condensing type tender for Big One. I will see if I still have the drawing if you are interested? PM me if you are. She maybe atomic powered but the steam vented from the stacks would have made more sense to condense for cooling water and so I came up my solution in the form of the condenser type tender.

    Default GXRY Condenser

Chance, This is the side on drawing I made for a Big One condenser tender. This tender is based off the tender seen here from Galaxy Railways season 2. http://www.3dtrains.com/forums/index...alaxy+Railways

    GXRY Condenser Tender.jpg

The tender is based on the Henschel type condenser tender used in South Africa.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_A...Class_25_4-8-4

My drawing is not to scale as there should be 8 condenser panels on the side of the tender with the 5 7 foot diameter fans strattling two of the condenser units at a time just like the SAR unit. I scaled the tender for 58 feet which together with the 85 foot locomotive would make a 142 foot long locomotive. However you may find that you would like to expand my tender to 60 or more feet depending on needs of the Galaxy Railways. I would not go over a total length of engine and tender of 182 feet as problems with the tender and loco going around corners would creep up for sure. These are the sites about bigboy I used for dimentional data for the scaling of my monster tender. http://www.trainweb.org/jlsrr/bigboy...20mainpage.htm also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Pacific_Big_Boy

The tender retains the original body shape UP/ Alco designed. I only lengthened the tender to accomidate the condensing equpiment. I had to dispense with the centipede setup in favor of the swiveling trucks setup seen in the drawing. Between the front 3 axle truck and the trailing 4 axle truck the tender still equates to 7 axles or 14 wheels. Both trucks use a technique to articulate the trucks in such a matter that is very similar to the EMD or GE steerible truck. EMD had experiments like this truck which is the inspiration for the articulation. EMD HT-BB Truck http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/bn6599a.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_SDP45

Leading truck of my tender inspiration.
