    Hi guys thought id post my first run 8 shot. I did not see a screen shot thread so I wanted to post a new thread.

    Damn, you mean SLI finally put safety chains on the fronts of their locos?? What'd they do - contract that part out to Scott?

    Not sure what you mean. This is the Run 8 forum, and those models were made by 3DTrainstuff, not SLI.

    Not to me. I see better detailing on the "terrtex" or whatever they call theirs, more sage brush objects, textured/painted right-of-way, etc. Looks to me it has the potential to have nice scenic features for a location that offers same. Face it: The desert may have a stark beauty to some, but otherwise it's pretty plain. Never been a desert fan myself... but got to give some credit where credit is due. Me thinks there's potential in Run8's scenic ability.
