Default Raildriver Discontinue Desktop Controller Product?

I heard some guys over the Run 8 said that Raildriver will discontinue to make anymore Desktop Controllers and they're telling me to buy Raildriver this christmas. I can't make up my mind what to buy. Run 8 DLC or Raildriver? I can't spend like $400

Raildriver is only $199.95 and Run8 is $40. So, that's only $239.95 Far from $400. Do the math.

I'm not sure I would trust "some guys" saying the RD will be discontinued. I would wait to hear on that front from PI Engineering.

DLC takes time, and I haven't heard anything official about the free SDK. There is 1 developer officially announced building Florida. Took a long time understandably to get Needles, and I believe the others will take time as well. I think you'll be safe at the $300 level for some time to come. Personally I would get the RD as it will enhance any experience your having. It can also be used on other simulations if you so desire.

    Thanks

That's exactly what i was thinking. I've been looking all over the Raildriver site and here and found nothing about Discontinuing. I doubt that would happen.

$300 is not a bad idea but, under the circumstance I'm not sure if my sister would be able to pay me to get me up to $300. She takes care of all the bills, water, electric, you name it. I spent $800 3 months ago to get a new better gaming pc which I did. And I talked to my sister about getting $200 worth to buy DLC. Now I'm getting dam's forums their excellent Idea of buying 1 RD and 1 Route. Needles or Fl. I know Jason has alot of work to do on that route. But if he can (if he can) get it done by Christmas I'll buy it. If not, that can wait, no rush for me. I would enjoy driving Needles for this christmas then buy the rest of the dlc next year. There's plenty of time for that.

Needles is nice and indeed a different pace if you are used to just Mojave. If you can afford both go for it, but I would put the priority on RD personally. Any server could always use more Mojave crews and I know traffic and demand has come back for it. Many people enjoy single track railroading. Florida certainly looks interesting, but I haven't heard any more updates on my end or his site. Would love to see some teaser shots etc. beyond the dispatch panel. Not sure I'm going to get that one right away provided I remain a 24/7 server, but I'm keeping an eye on it. The good news is if it catches my attention my software will work on any route with minor changes to the waybills etc.

    Thanks

I would. I got 2 options set. Option #1 Buy all DLC and Option #2 Buy 1 RD and 1 Needles. Depends now for the price. I only got $50 and it's gonna take alot of time to get up there to $200. I don't have a job, we have a family business going on the weekends. Get paid between $20 and $50. Rest pays for the bills.
