That silo is one of Ron Picardi's models. While I've seen green (along with red, blue, and black on silo roofs with that pattern i.e. red/white, green/white, etc.), they've always been darker shades of their respective colors. That's not to say that fluorescent green can't be found out there

One question about the florescent paint on top of your silo's - is THAT realistic or just a limitation of the model you had on hand ? Wondered about that for years...

Wow you WERE paying attention Scott?! .....so I googled Kentucky Farm Silo's..... and guess what!

Both excellent models (silo & C420) ...but both could use some weathering?

I've often spent time trying to find glaringly bright scenery .aces and just de-saturated them a bit. It's amazing how just muting the colour a bit can make a building blend in so much more concvincingly.

Biggest problem is actually finding the specific shape in the first place because many scenery objects have short number and letter names that only really mean anything to the author.

    As for #513.... http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/monon/mon513gea.jpg

...looks like someone took it "off road" down a muddy track here! . Either that or it got too close to a farmers "muck" spreader!

    Hi Geoff,

Thanks for the info and the real world reference...

Yeah - the colors are oversaturated on so much of our content - I've done the same on many models... More recently - been messing with Monogame and ReShade where I created a preset to also lessen the color intensity for everything...

Great PIX Rick - keep'm coming...

    Regards,
    Scott

Great shots, Rick. While driving south through Orleans today, I saw that CSX has pulled the rails from the siding. Just one step closer to the southern part of the Monon being gone. I saw that at least the north switch is still in place for now, as is the main. Thank you for all you've done to bring this route to the Train Simulator community.

    Yeah .........................
It is just an amount of time before the rest of the south end is all gone........................
It has already been approved for removal...............
And what is left of the south end is just tracks coming out of Louisville going to Mitchell and goes a little further and thats it.....
It is good thing the north end is still used alot for freight and passenger service.

The southbound Thoroughbred at the south end of Gosport siding waiting for Freight #70 heading north entering the siding.

The southbound Thoroughbred at Thornton siding having just passed a local freight on the siding heading north.

Freight #70 heading northbound into Campbellsburg.

Freight #71 heading southbound at St Joseph.
