Thread: Siemens ACS-64 progress report...

  1. Default Siemens ACS-64 progress report...

As some of you heard thru the grapevine or emails direct, I started an ACS-64 quite awhile ago, anyhow today I got back onto it for a while. Added the windows and the top electrical parts, along with pantograph parts started ... over 18,000+ poly and no undercarriage parts yet hmmmmmm....

Thanks, looks great, can't wait. Are you also planning to make any amfleet, and viewliner cars in the future?

Agree - looks very good! Look forward to being able to use it.

    Then...

Those are available in some payware sets, and also in the file library. Search for amfleet or viewliner. There are also, of course, the default Amfleet cars but NALW and others have done a much better modeling job. Key files include:

    Amfleet:
necpack01.zip - the basic set for the NE Corridor (locos & cars) - note also the patch necpack14.zip
You'll need this one as the base for several repaints/remodels.

    Viewliner:
viewlnrh.zip - generic model - there should be some others in the library too but I can't find them right now.

There are also numerous Superliner models and derivatives in the library that are not SLI repaints, and a bunch of "Heritage" cars that were used by Amtrak prior to the Viewliners - happy searching.
