    First I would like to thank all who have participated thus far. Keep in mind this thread is NOT for video card problems. Moderators will delete those posts requesting help. Please post only your specs and comments. This thread will remain unlocked for that purpose only and this post updated periodically. Many posts have added comments that should read.
    This section lists those operating systems and cards that dont work or do not work properly.

    SYSTEM? No; however previous card worked for MSTS but was inadequate for Open Rails, see below.

    IF YES PLEASE LIST MFG & MODEL: ATI/AMD HD 5450, 1 GB RAM was too slow for Open Rails "pre-1.0" x2194

    We need to come up with post of what graphic card, chips, or onboard graphics that doesn't work with win 7 & 8 and MSTS. I can't be much help because I have Vista and ATi inboard graphic. MSTS does work on my 7 year old Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop.

    It is my opinionated, biased opinion that MSTS runs faster under Windows 8.1, Flight Simulator X certainly does. Also, I have seen mention on flightsim.com that the newest nVidia drivers also help offloading the CPU.

    I changed to a more up to date system about 6 months ago. I use it to run both MSTS and Open Rails.

    DO YOU KNOW OF ANY GRAPHICS CARD THAT WILL NOT RUN ON YOUR
    SYSTEM? No

    It's not the fastest machine around, but it does everything I need it to and it didn't cost a great deal.

    Model : Intel i5-4760K with 8Gb memory on the motherboard
    OS; Win7 Pro 64bit
    Graphics: Intel HD4000 series onboard does not work with MSTS, but will run Open Rails
    ...............Nvidia by EVGA, GTX660Ti with 1gb of memory runs MSTS and Open Rails very well.

    ARE YOU SATISFIED

    SYSTEM? YES. Card worked fine with windows XP but after upgrade it no longer would. Crashes on Train sim and Lord of the rings on line. Both are very Graphic heavy. When using the new SLI Train sets and routes it goes black and shuts off the game. Same thing happens with Lord of the Rings Online. Yet, Warcraft works perfectly on the most highest settings. I think that will change when the new expansion comes out and it's even more graphic intense.
