    Default SD70 Reskins

Here's something a little simple that's derived from the NS SD70 Set from SLI...An Unnumbered Illinois Central SD70 Spartan Cab Locomotive.

But there's only ONE issue for the Freight Animation: The Air horn seen here is a Leslie RS3, an original Conrail horn and Both Illinois Central along with Norfolk Southern are NOTORIOUS for the Nathan P5.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on creating a Nathan P5 and/or K5LA Air horn F/A?

Thanks, Anthony! I am looking forward to seeing this.

I didn't want to release the IC or NS SD70 renumbers with the Conrail horn just yet until I either have a Nathan P5 horn F/A on most of the units for the simple fact I'm using its sounds.

    OMG, I am in love!!!!!
    Great work.
Is this a future release, or just a personal project? I am sure hoping the former.

It's a Possible freebie to be uploaded with a maximum of 10 locomotives in the 1000 series. Only thing stopping me from doing it is the freight animation with the Conrail horn. It'll be awkward to see them like that!

They'll be using the SLI NS SD70 Set for the Locomotive Shape and Sounds (P5 horn sound) to operate.

Good luck to you then, Don. I hope you can work through that challenge.
This is one series of engines that I am sure would be a big hit.

Here are a few NS SD70 Spartans (from the SLI SD70 Pack) that I've Renumbered earlier this Summer, units 2515, 2561, and 2568. These units, along with several other renumbers, are based on the MLT units done earlier by Jeff Auberpine and Bernard Grant.

    My contributions to these Guys!!

I just had a closer look at the freight animation. It is the same horns that KCS and Seaboard used in the past: The Leslie RS5T Horn.

I'm thinking the same thing too.
It's too bad NS had a hold to the SD50s & 60s before the SOU had applied paint on them back in '82.
