Adding more locos won't make the route any more viable than it is. It's always goong to be "haul coal from A to B"..."haul empties form B to A".

This is the pattern we can expect to see for the foreseeable future - add a route and then commercialize it to death with add-ons. This process only works well if there are a lot of opportunities for utilization of the route, and in the case of the NS coal route, there are not.

Historicalization of some routes would allow the intro of a number of profitable steam loco and rolling stock DLC's, and the introduction of major shortlines would allow the necessary variety.

However, we must all continue to be mindful of what happens to our investment when MicroSoft decides to go to a new operating system. Will our routes and DLC's still work, or will be expected to buy everything all over again?

Hopefully they release the Dash 8-40 soon. I would like to see some cab shots when they are available.
