    Default Something strange at Nippon Sharyo Rochelle

    Anybody have any idea what these are? They are sitting at the Nippon Sharyo factory in Rochelle, IL

    Those are probably the new bilevels that are supposed to go into service on the corridor routes in Illinois, Michigan and California as well as on the Cascades service.

    No no no. Those are the new DMUs getting ready for shipping up to the Canada Toronto area.

    They definitely aren't Bilevels.. This Canada DMU's look more accurate but they appear to be empty shells as they have no undercarriage stuff and are sitting on flat cars..

    They're only doing the final assembly at Rochelle. Maybe they're being shipped partly assembled from Japan? Being single level, that's an option, at least on the first few units.
