Thread: Monon Route Install

    Default Monon Route Install

I have a problem with the Monon Route Install. The main.exe always stops at 57% and always says that something .ace is corrupted. All of the install programs are 1,000,000 kbs, the main D01 is 962,507 kbs, terrtex a-k is at 780,165, l-mo is 864,021, mo2ay is at 692,050 kbs. Are these the right things? I also put them in a temporary folder on my external hard drive.

Re-download the files, and make sure you only download one file at a time.

Can someone please tell me which BLW payware packages I need to purchase to run the 1950's activities (the 1950s activities only!)

Surely all the payware listed is not needed if I am running only the 1950s activities.

Well if you don't want to read the docs...(many don't) - you'll have to do some detective work.
Look in all the activities you are interested in. Look at the EngineData and WagonData lines in the consists and loose consists (act file) and find the names of the rolling stock and the folder names of same. After some work and consulting the BLW sales pages, you should be able to piece together what you want. That's essentially what you're asking others to do. I have all the activities you mention, but I'm too busy with other stuff to do the work for you, I suspect others are also.

Someone with the knowledge at hand may take pity on you, but don't hold your breath.

Thank you for your advice Gerry.

I can obviously extract from the consist and activity files, a list of the file names of all engines and wagons needed for 1950s activities. That is not my problem. The problem is that I can find no definitive list of the content of each pack which I can use to compare with my list. The descriptions on the Valleypass pages for each pack are too general for this. Does anyone know whether such lists are available?

Maybe BLW has such a list, gotta ask them. The screenshot below shows the equipment required to fill out the player consist for the Bedford to Bloomington Act - 1950's era.

I'd say start with the BLW/ZT Monon Equipment Pack II and go from there. More than likely it will be the earliest Monon packs BLW & BLW/ZT released, not the more current BL2 packs or others. There may be an odd engine that is from another pack, but all the BLW pages list engine numbers. Sorry, can't be of more help.

There are three BLW sets that cover Monon. As Robert has helpfully pointed out, the Monon II set (BLW_ZT) has the passenger cars in the consist shown in the screenshot. That set is a little larger. The first set has only RS2, C420, C628 and F3 engines plus a caboose. And then there is the BL2 set, which is just that.
