ЧМЭ3 (CHME3, originally T-669) - famous switcher, made in Czechoslovakia by plant ČKD-Praha in 1963-1991. This locos work in formerly Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Albania, Iraq, Syria and India, made over 8000 locos.
ALso in Russia popular soviet/russian locos TEM2 and similar. In 1945 to USSR was delivered by land-lease 70 locos ALCO RSD-1. His soviet copy ТЭ1 (TE1) made in 1947-1950, total 298 locos. In 1958-1968 was built his modernised version ТЭМ1 (TEM1). If TE1 was general-purpose loco, then TEM1 exactly was a switcher. In 1960-2000 was built most widespread soviet switcher TEM2 (1200 horsepower, his engine PD1 was still looks like ALCO 539T), this had modernized versions TEM2U and TEM2UM with diesel engine 6D49 (
quite another engine), except the USSR, this locos work in Poland, Mongolia and Cuba. From 1992 made TEM18 with new diesel engine 1-PD-1A, but this loco still can be called great-grandson of ALCO RSD-1. Also in USSR was created interestin loco - TEM7 - 2000 horsepower and 16 wheels, it has great traction.
In the Kirov region TEMs almost no work, but i have few photos of different models. St. Petersburg's museum of rail transport (i was in Saint-Petersburg in july 2015), ALCO RSD-1, in USSR called Да:
