    Good evening!

The publication of the OR manual continues. Of course, everything is still in its infancy, but you can already see what the user manual on my site will look like in the future.
If you click on "Open Rails" in the main menu at the top of my page, you can see the progress.

    Good evening!

Even if you can't see anything yet, the work on the OR manual is progressing well. I ask you to consider the following.

The source language of my site is German. This means that the German version of the operating instructions must first be entered by chapter. Then these chapters can be individually translated into English and French.

In order to increase the speed of this work, I will first translate the English language version into German using only Google Translate, without doing any proofreading. I will only do this once I have entered the English version, which can be entered 1 to 1. Then the French version is entered, although I would like to ask you to report any translation errors in the French version, because I can only make this version with Google Translate because my knowledge of French is insufficient.

    Good evening!

The entire page structure for the individual chapters has just been completed on the German site. Nothing is available on the chapter sites yet, but that will change in the coming days. First the page structure is transferred to the French and English sites. I hope to have it finished by Saturday or Sunday at the latest. As you can see, progress is being made.

    Good evening!

In the meantime, the first progress has also been made on the English side of the OR operating instructions. In addition, the chapter for the cruise control has been added to the German, English and French operating instructions.

    Good evening!

Good news! I just found out that I can publish the English manual first. This can significantly accelerate the publication of the operating instructions on my site.

    Good evening!

Work on the OR manual is progressing well. Probably on Sunday I will be able to publish the first text passages of the English manual.

    Good afternoon!

The linking of the individual chapters on the English page was completed last night. Now the chapters are linked on the French side. Then I can start entering the individual chapter texts on the English page.

    It's progressing!

Friendly reminder, if you're making updates within the same calendar day, it's better to just edit your previous post to add the additional information then to continue adding new posts.

This isn't Facebook or other sites where frequent posts are going to improve your visibility. Most visitors are here once a day.

Each post here consumes resources, and resources equate to time and money. Having multiple posts per day makes it a little difficult for the moderators to do cleanup and reduce extraneous posts to try to keep the size of these threads down for those that may want to read it from start to end.

Previous posts cannot be edited...members are given about 30mins to edit post, that's all. That was changed a while ago frustrating members ( myself included ) when trying to edit posts. Not blaming or pointing fingers just stating the situation.
