Moscow - the capital of Russia, largest city and transport node in formerly USSR. In July 2015 I was ride to St. Petersburg via Moscow to meeting with trainsim.ru members, and the I was distance learning in Moscow railway transport University (http://miit.ru/portal/page/portal/en).

Excellent mix of pics. The EP2K trains have some similar looking qualities to some of the newer Amtrak engines used on the NE Corridor. I guess many new streamlined passenger/commuter train engines share similar features.

Locomotive yard Podmoskovnaya - largest place in Russia, where served steam locomotives, over 10 units. Every day between Rizskiy railway terminal and Podmoskovnaya runs steam train, sometimes steam locomotives uses in tourist trains and shunting operations.
