It's a one of larest rail museums in Russia. 0-8-0 Steam locomotive Ов-841 (Ov), one of eldest extant locomotives in Russia, built in 1903 year. O locomotives were built in 1890-1915 (and small series in 1925-1928), total built 9129 locomotives, 600 horsepower, nickname - "Ovechka" (Little sheep):

0-10-0 freight locomotive E (Э). This is a most popular steam locomotive in Russia and Worls - in 1912-1957 were built 10853 locomotives. It's a Er-766-11, Er locomotives were built in 1934-1957 (after WWIIthis locos were built in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Romania for USSR), 1500 horsepower, nickname "Erka":


2-6-2 Passenger steam locomotive Su-214-10 (Су), it's a one of best world passenger steam locomotives in 1920's. This locos were built in 1924-1941 and 1947-1951, total built 2683 locos, 1500 horsepower, nickname "Sushka" (Bagel)


2-10-2 freight steam locomotive FD20-3125 (ФД20, FD - Felix Dzerzhinskiy). FD20 locomotives were built in 1931-1942, total built 3213 locomotives. It's a heavy locomotive created during the industrialization in USSR, design of this loco more look like US steam locos, than Russian steam locomotive design. In 1958-1960 more 900 locomotives were sold to China (Chinese name YH) and North Korea, 3100 horsepower, nicknames "Fedya" (Russian male name) and "Felix":


2-10-0 freight steam locomotive SO17-2217 (СО17, SO - Sergo Ordzhonikidze), built in 1934-1951, total built 4487 locomotives. It's a medium locomotive between E and FD. 2300 horsepower, nickname "Sergo":

In Russian language sheep - овца (ovtsa), little sheep - овечка (ovechka), family name "Ovechkin" (Овечкин) really comes from this word. Likely ancestry of Alexandr Ovechkin were breds the sheeps. And maybe this family name comes from nickname of this locomotive :-)

4-8-4 Passenger steam locomotive П36-0001 (P36), 3200 horsepower made in 1950-1956, total built 251 locos, nickname "General". Now 6 locomotives they are operable with tourist and excursion trains, 18 locos are preserved:

2-10-0 Freight steam locomotive TE-5415 (ТЭ), 1600 horsepower. Really it's a German locomotive BR52, main military locomotive in Nazi Germany. Over 2000 this locos are appropriation by in USSR in WWII as trophies, nickname "Frau":


Armoured private car. Many this cars were made in 1900-1910's, in USSR this cars uses by ministers and generals, after 1950's (after the development of aviation) this cars uses by chiefs of railways and chiefs of railway divisions:

Diesel locmotive ТЭ1-20-195 (TE1-20) - Soviet copy of ALCO RSD-1 (70 ALCO RSD-1 were delivered to USSR by land-lease in WWII), made in 1947-1950, total built 298 locos:


Diesel two-unit locomotive (but in this museum only one unit) ТЭ2-125 (TE2), in many ways this loco same with TE1, it's a very reliable locomotive, some locos are working in 1990's. 1000 horsepower by unit, made in 1948-1955, total built 528 locos (1056 units), nickname "Bychok" (goby - little bull):

Two-unit freight diesel locomotive ТЭ3-5151 (TE3) - it's a most numerous Soviet diesel locomotive -in 1953-1973 were built 6808 locos (13617 units), 2000 horsepower per unit, now few locos are working in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, nicknames - Teresa, Lastochka (swallow) :

Two-unit diesel locomotive 2ТЭ10Л-3621 (2TE10L), it's a my favorite Soviet diesel locomotive. Made in 1961-1977, total built 3663 locos (7309 units), 3000 horsepower per unit, nickname Luganka (plant, where made this locos located in Lugansk, Ukraine). Now in Russian few this locos used by private owners (mainly in mining indusrial) only, in comon carrier still used by Moldova, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan railways:


ТЭ7-080 (TE7) - passenger version of TE3, made in 1956-1964, total built 113 locos (226 units):


ТЭП10-186 (TEP10) - passenger diesel locomotive, related with 2TE10L, made in 1960-1968, total built 335 locos, now fully withdrawn. Official nickname - Strela (Arrow):


ТЭП60-1200 (TEP60) - other passenger diesel locomotive, also 3000 horsepower, faster (record - 193 km/h) , but less reliable with TEP10. Made in 1960-1985, total built 1241 locos, now still used in Belarus, nickname Bubnilka (chanter):
