Ah, I'm not the only one that monitors that feed! Lot's of interesting moves thru the crossing. I live 20 minutes north of Rochelle in Rockford and have railfanned there since the 70s.

Very interesting video grab, Charles - thanks!
Cheers, Gerry
It's my railroad and I'll do what I want! Historically accurate attitude of US Railroad Barons.
Forever, ridin' drag in railroad knowledge.
BTW those empty cars were loaded with brand new ties this AM when the string was headed out bound.

So, that was on the BNSF Aurora Sub. I have seen either that train, or a similar train closer in to Aurora a couple of times recently.

Here at home, in the railroad mayhem capital of the world.

Here is a link to Northern Illinois Railroads. Covers both of the lines thru Rochelle plus BNSF Galesburg & Chilly subs and CP (ex ICE) and CN (ex IC). I keep this link on all day as it can provide valuable info on almost all train movements.
Enjoy

Great capture Charles. I'm guessing that's a MOW/Track servicing contractors units? Come on Modellers stop sitting on your thumbs!!!
I remember showing that Cam to my wife a few years back and commenting "....that looks like an accident waiting to happen...." and sadly months later there was a collision here.
Not sure if the shots of that are in the Cams Gallery (if it has one?)

BTW this just made me aware that the Kalmbach Magazines are all available in a Digital edition now. The cost of postage made the print edition a bit rich for "International" enthusiasts but the Digital version is the same Worldwide![]()
