    Did you do some custom coding to be able to have the distant mountains disappear like that? Or did you have to exit and turn off distant mountains?

    Just held down the shift key and then quasi-held the + or -


    No exiting required.

    Strange. If I do the same on my Mullan route, the distant mountains will not fade completely, there is still a very visible gray silhouette even at the thickest fog settings. I just tested on the Scenic Sub, and the mountains do not fade completely for me. See this thread:

    I am curious if your video card is rendering a bit different than mine.

    Thanks for the info, looks like the brightness setting in OR of all things is the culprit here. I had been using 110% brightness, reducing to 100%, I get (close to) the same as you.

    The fog looks great!

    You can replace the default open rails sky without needing kosmos. I recommend it.

    Graphics card may have an impact. For comparison, my brightness set to 110%. You can just barely see the ridge line






    Brightness set to 130%
