. . . and pics. A Journal of thoughts, opinions and pics as I experience the development of Run8. I have read enough threads on all the gripes and opinions. Played most train-sims in the past and have decided on Run8 good or bad. People said in 2012 it wouldn`t be here but in [2017] -edit. it clearly still is. Always loved trains. Just having fun.

Seems to be a washout at Slover just before Colton.

One tap on the "Indy" brake and the coupler slaps the knuckles all the way down.

Switching points and running over frogs with throaty locomotives seems mundane yet overwhelmingly addictive.

The 2.2 decent to Cajon. If you mess up once your done. No stopping her. This one is in multi-player. You can see in the cheat bar (shift-z) the weight and specs of the train. 15-30 mph all the way down in about an hour. I get better frames in MP because I have too many trains in my SP sandbox.

Mojave is gorgeous at dusk. It really is. Can`t quite put my finger on why this sim is so appealing to its adherents.

No coffee in the dash holder while climbing through the tunnels near Cable before Tehachapi loop.

Looking forward to the New EMD SD70 Ace units. GE will have to share the throne with EMD in Run8. Notice the increased detail on the pilots, cabs, etc.

Yeah, they are working on SD45's and Tunnel motors. Last from Run 8 was that they are not releasing until V2 but that was when they were releasing V2 in the spring. Now they are releasing in the fall so who knows.

I hope they have a few weathered versions like this.
