Now of course someone is going to prove me wrong? LOL! ......but none the less I can't find them in any REAL railroad shots.

The fix is easy once you find the .ace.
OK to prove I can laugh at myself...... http://news.hjnews.com/features/the-...a4bcf887a.html

BUT how they look all polished up and back lit against a white light is NOT what they look like in use .....as a further search for Images of "US Power line insulators" showed.....

BTW if you think I'm nuts even bringing the subject up, or if you ever get ridiculed for being a Rail Fan/Train spotter/Foamer etc. Consider this. There are, apparently MANY, folk who go out and photograph power lines!!!! Hey! "horses for courses" but I guess we'll all stick with our trains.... ?

I'll stick with darkening and desaturating the .ace. Up to you I guess.

Just downloaded it yesterday and explored a little with EP2-hauled Hiawatha from Deer Lodge to Missoula and a westbound boxcab freight from Avery for a few miles. Great route, just as the RMD East it, even if I'm not that much into non-European routes. Unlike RMD East, however, this division was supplied with activities and consists, so I assumed it will work with all the trainset I got so far (and I gotta say I spent a long week downloading them all!). But it didn't... Worse yet, even if the route comes with various .pat files, there are path files missing for activities. I know I know, the activities might be in beta, but shouldn't these be working in one way or another? Actually I personally prefer activities as a seperate package than being included in the route. Some people suggested to download the template mentioned in reply #23 of this thread but it didn't contain any missing paths and it even does require one commercial add-on in order to work (the NP freight packs).

Maybe I missed some kind of additional download or patch for these pre-packaged activities in this thread or the download section. And I'd better do something, because a route without activities, no matter how well made, is an useless route to me.

    EDIT:
Ah, OK, I just read Sullivan's post on activities... Well, that's it, until no activities will be available, I'm just gonna explore the route and wait for something.

[QUOTE=gremlin1812;1912581]G'day All, I have spent the last two days installing the route, activities and finding stock and all I am missing now are some paths.

Did you read the "readme first" that came with the route?

G'day Moe, yes I did read the "readme first" and it contained no mention of the activities.
veemr, thank you for the traffic files, they were a big help and have got some of the activities going.
I still have some stock to locate and there are still some paths and a consist missing if any kind sole can assist I would be grateful.
    The missing stock is:-
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3923_ld.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3968_ld.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3252_ld.wag
BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3234_ld.wag search "Butte" under "ALL FILE SECTIONS"
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3234_em.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3923_em.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3968_em.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_3252_em.wag
    BA&P_Freight\BA&P_C010.wag

    GP18_NP_378\GP18_NP_373.eng

    US2WAYCAR-np\us2waycar_np.wag found this one - np_cab.zip

    These are the missing files:-
Path Name = Lukas Phosphate WB.pat Path is missing from Lukas Phosphate WB.act
Path Name = MilwAct01_ButteLocal.pat Path is missing from Milw01_ButteLocal.act
Path Name = New Activity De SmetsWB.pat Path is missing from New Activity De SmetsWB.act
Path Name = New Activity NP .pat Path is missing from New Activity NP.act
Path Name = Nimrod MILW.pat Path is missing from Nimrod MILW.act
Path Name = Phosphate EB.pat Path is missing from Phosphate EB.act
Path Name = Phosphate WB.pat Path is missing from Phosphate WB.act
Path Name = Phosphate.pat Path is missing from Phosphate.act

Consist Name = RMD1_PassengerSteam_02.con Missing Consist

Hope this can be sorted as the activities I have got going so far look really good and the route runs quite smoothly in OR with good frame rates considering the older PC I am using.

    Regards
    Barrie

Edit:- I have added file names to what I have found and replaced what remained, so all that is needed to make things complete would be to have the path and consist files.

    Default RMD West Download

Has anyone ever come up with a download for these missing files from the original RMD v2 files, or are the activities related to these files just dead issues???? I would love to run activity 01 Butte Local, but without the player path, it's useless.

Thanks for any assistance or clues to this problem.

I also have all those acts listed, but no Paths or Services related to any of them.

I do have tons of them listed for the RMD_East.

I guess I never bothered to run any of those acts, probably because of those missing files. Apparently, according to an early posting here the person doing the activities just "disappeared into thin air".

So it will be up to an industrious activity writer to try to duplicate these acts.

I have most of them...but I hesitate to release them, because I just used my imagination and made them up. After reading the activity, looking into a little bit of the history of the route and area it occupied, it is not too difficult to do. This is all for fun, and since it is for fun, you can make it up as you go along. For some of us the fun is in the historical accuracy of an activity, route, or equipment - I can certainly understand that and appreciate it.

However, sometimes you must proceed on your own to compensate for the deficiencies you may find.
Just make up the paths, traffic, consists and try them out...if you don't like what you did, try it again. That, to me, is part of the fun of all this.
I have been pursuing this fascinating niche hobby for going on five years and have found that its' one abiding truth...deficiencies found in content, missing parts, messed up files, less-than-well written readmes, and all the other "bothersomes" are not bugs but features.
Opportunities to learn something new and participate in the hobby in a fuller sense. Work the brain a little.

Cheers, R. Steele [Gerry] It's my railroad and I'll do what I want! Historically accurate attitude of US Railroad Barons.

Thanks "Gerry" and Don6218 for your ideas............sorry I have been very busy last couple of days so couldn't get back to you sooner to acknowledge.

I guess I could sit down and think it out what the Player path for Butte Local would be since all the AI's are there. I do enjoy playing round with the files and changing things around, so I would enjoy working out this problem. Juts a matter of getting a day with time to play around with it and test run.

    Thanks
