    Default Western Maine Rail Company

Decided to just make this a dedicated post, they way I've been using WMRC equipment non stop lately.

Here we see freshly patched WMRC #271, a former NS GP38-2, still set up long hood forward, pulling train Rigby-Stewartstown. This is a train bound for CPRail, and sometimes, as seen here, includes CP through power. WMRC power gets cut off at Stewartstown and returns south with the STRI train the next morning.

    Thanks Phil!
The yellow unit of course is an LLPX lease unit, that VTR had, and was sent back, now WMRC has it. So it still is relativity close to its former location.

The return trip was pretty interesting. LLPX GP38-2 2334 and WMRC GP38-2 271, lead the way of two CPRail GP9u's and 30 freight cars, consisting of mainly loaded grain hoppers.

Just departing Stewartstown after making the interchange, WMRC's STRI train is on it's way to Portland, just a little past 0800.

Great set of shots as usual!
    Is that your own route?

Phil, the second set of shots are from Paul Charlands wonderful Conn River Line, which is still in beta. I am using this line for the Stewartstown - Quebec Jct portion of the Mountain Division, as I never originally modeled that line on my own route. Though, I am considering it.

Will definitely be downloading the Conn River Line when it's finished!
I believe I have all of Paul's routes so far and enjoy running them.

Weekend schedules are typically slow on the weekends. We see Amtrak train #10MD heading over the Mountain Division for St. Johnsbury.

Today the only freight train it will see is ZO-2/OZ-1 at Gilman, VT, which is simply a local job for the Paper Mill.

First image, we see the Amtrak Train heading over the causeway, just on the border of Westbrook and Portland.

Then we see the train crossing over the Presumpscot River, Where the Sappi-North America Mill sits.
