Thread: Steam - Railworks Updates

  1. #1

    Default Steam - Railworks Updates

Another one has started today, taking 4 hours to complete, I do not know what it is about, I probably am not interested in !

While it is running I can still use the Internet to do other things and can even run the Railworks.exe and one of its routes in my copy of Steam - Railworks, albeit at half speed !

Until DTG put a stop to doing that I shall not run Railsworks online again in what is left of my life, my current state of health indicating that is not going to be much more !

The recent RSSLO BB-4023 release, again using complex starting and SIFA, PZB running precedures, I am not interested in and can not shut down, other than running Railworks in SIMPLE MODE, is another reason for me not purchasing any more from DLC, other than a new route, I can not get from one of their partners !

The state of Computing and the Internet is in an incredible mess now and hope that it is not going to affect my son's and family's Robert future in the USA, you can read about in LinkedIn !

Searching Google to show his record in LinkedIn took 1 minute !

    Digital overload isn't pretty.

I ran a full scan of my computer a few days ago and it literally took forever. When the final tally came in I saw why - 1.8 million files, a lot of them image files associated with things like TS.

If Cray ever enters the home computer market, I'll seriously consider it!

Meanwhile, I use BING - it's considerably faster than Google and far less commercialized, and not in the business of selling my information to the entire world...yet.

Thanks for mentioning Bing, MM and am going to try it !

The DTG download is still running here at 17:16, the Internet no doubt also being overloaded with Olympics related traffic, many UK users now being at home after work !

Hopefully it will download in the background while playing Doom or Dirt Rally!

It will, but will slow down Doom and Dirt Rally running by 50% !

The DTG DLC download has finished and has updated the 00000060, 00000061 and 00000064 routes APs, as well as those in their DTG Assets folders, I promptly deleted and made all their folders READ-WRITE again, their 7-Zip unzipped contents not having been touched again !

They dare doing that and they will face Court Action from my UK FAST Computing Specialists no win - no fee Software lawyers !

I am not interested in their updates, fixing what I can myself to suit me.

    Hi Otto,
Bing is a Search Engine, so they call it. Kind of like Google. I use Microsoft Edge to go to your site to download files or any other Site like Train Sim, RWA. I don't use Bing at all, just Microsoft Edge which may use Bing, not for sure. Edge is like the old Internet Explorer used in Windows versions prior to Windows 10. I will probably get slammed for my statement but that is the way I see it.
