Thank you for the pictures. My daughters liked the one of the playground most. Had to explain it is a bit too far away to visit. Almost 8.000 kilometers, so about 5 days of driving

Children's railways were created in 1930s in the Soviet Union as career guidance centers, where teenagers could get basic rail skills: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_railway Some railways quite long and carry a large number of passengers - it's a not only attraction, also during WWII children railways were used for freight transportation.

Children railways usually uses narrow gauge - 750 millimeters:

All I ever had was a Hornby trainset... And that wasn't until I was 15. Prior to that I had to make do with a clockwork loco and oval of track, then later the "Big Big Train" complete with plastic track! (BBT items probably worth a fortune on Ebay now).
