    Default Report on Otto Wipfel

I received the following report from Robert Wipfel, Otto's son:

    [quote]

    William, thanks for reaching out.

Otto is my Dad. I know he very much values his friends in the Trainsim forums is his passion. We appreciate your concern.

I'm afraid he had a stroke Sept 28th and was taken to hospital where he is currently still in poor condition. My sister and I are visiting him there. I will update you when we have more status to share.

Thanks again, and for being his friend, regards, Robert Wipfel

P.S. I'm sure Dad would want others to know, please share this note in the forum. Thank you all for helping Dad enjoy life in recent years.

He is not out of the woods yet, so we all need to pray for him.

Heavenly Father, we reach out with concern for our good friend, Otto Wipfel.
Please return him to good health and more good years of life, we solemnly pray.

    Amen

Even though a lot of us had our "go arounds" with OTTODAD, he was/is truly a great asset to the members of this train sim community. Prayers are sent for him and his family.

My heartfelt prayers go out to Otto and his family.

I suffered what was considered a very mild "warning" stroke several years ago. It can be an unimaginably terrifying thing to experience first-hand. While I recovered "completely" as far as the doctors were concerned, it took several years to feel whole again, with much physical and mental fatigue along the way. That's the reality of it.

Otto, get plenty of rest, and take things one step at a time. Your friends here wish you all the best!
