It's a huge bodyblow for Mr. Jackson that the miles driven number quoted isn't the same figure as their total Sales purchases of this game for the last fortnight, that should be the most important Statistic.

Steam Spy paints a truer picture. Dwindling sales and it looks like at least 3.5k refunds, as I reported in the other thread.

The problem as I see it is no real contrition from the devs that they fracked up. Derek posting unrepentant at RWA, the continued advertising campaign (though I note TSW was listed underneath the TS2017 DLC) and the admission from Support to a guy at UKTS that they don't see a way to offer more than one save slot. At least N3V showed a little bit of contrition when they borked the initial release of TANE, but DTG are plain arrogant and that may be their downfall.

Actually the figures posted above are not very good. If we take the figure of 20,000 sales as suggested by Steam Spy and just over 1,000,000 miles driven that's only an average of 50 miles driven per user which looks like a very low average to me. Personally I have clocked up 190 miles after completing the six scenarios so if I'm looking at the figures correctly the 20,000 sales estimate is on the high side.

I've done more walking in the 7 years I've been with the railway than I have the rest of my life
