One of my favorites, that's some beautiful yooper land you got there.
Nice work...any chance of getting permission to update the route?
Cheers, Gerry
It's my railroad and I'll do what I want! Historically accurate attitude of US Railroad Barons.
Forever, ridin' drag in railroad knowledge.
That's brilliant Jeff. Just makes me sorry I don't have my fishing rod handy.![]()

There's a bubble a bouncing and it's bouncing my way,
There's two sticks in the powderworks I think it's gonna blow today.
Great Shot, nice work..... As former Yooper all that is missing, is a "Tar Paper Shack" & lots of mosquitos.![]()
Now that is a nice marshy scene. Jeff, nice work!![]()

I am not articulate enough to put into words the calming, peaceful quiet that exists along rural railroad tracks. Summer specifically, with the sounds of insects, birds, and your thoughts.....which of course are, "when's that next one rolling by?".

I couldn't agree more. When you're a few miles from the nearest trace of civilization, it gets real quiet. All you can hear are some birds and red squirrels, and the wind in the trees, which can easily obscure the sound of that empty train sneaking up on you. It's great...until the F-16s come out to play, and even then...free air show!
